The difference is that ThickMaster has a better dynamic range and aliveness. Can be used in the bridge position with a FatMaster Extra or SurfMaster Extra in the neck if a thick bridge sound is required, however, this changes the middle switch position (both-on-together) sound to a significant degree since the ThickMaster will tend to dominate the mix and produce a distinctive Cluck. Cluck is a new rage, and we are good at it.
  • SurfMaster

    $189.00
SurfMaster: All the important attributes of original Fender pickups, plus this Kinman model, has a little more punch and output. Louder and more dynamic with a greater presence factor than the FatMaster, this pickup has a full-bodied sound with a powerful, sharp twang and exceptional piano mid-tones and all the highs you crave. The dynamic range is so excellent you immediately relate it to Dick Dales's sound. Still, you'll get more than that with these SurfMaster pickups because these are versatile and, in capable hands, can be used for grunge, indie, punk, shoegaze and just about anything.

  • So you love badass growly distorted humbucker sounds from the bridge position but hate the idea of modifying your Telecaster? Well, here is your love/hate solution!!! Our impressive Kick-in-the-Arse humbucker is built into a Tele bridge pickup. No need to drastically modify anything ,,, just chuck it in and get badass growly humbucker or P-90 sounds from your Tele, and it will deliver a real kick in the arse.
  • Designed especially for excellent volume balance with a neck Humbucker this Gen-2 ultra high output single pole bridge pickup with the thump and output level of a P-90 does just that. Our new Tele Neck Blaster and our P90-Bucker are great companion neck pickups for this gutsy bridge pickup. Gen-2 is generation two, a new design utilizing our Patented magnetic focusing device that increases the efficiency of the coil. It's a blast!!!
  • Naturally, as the name implies, it is the fully balanced companion pickup for the wonderful Bridge Blaster, and it has the sonic character to match. Lots of thick-sounding thumps from the low wound strings and noticeably darker sweet plain strings, even in the high register. It's also good as a companion pickup for PAF-type bridge humbuckers and P-90s.
  • You will get Zero-Hum 1952 Esquire Tele sound with this fantastic Gen-2 Tele bridge pickup. Gen-2 is generation two, a new design. The sound of Alnico-2 magnets with a fat coil, like the genuine article made in 1952. Old world Tele sound, clear and not too bright. Less sharp attack and a complete bottom end. Remains well defined under high gain amp distortion.
  • All NEW Gen-2 Impersonator 52n incorporates newly developed technology and specially made parts engineered to produce our first Tele neck pickup with loud Non-Aged-Sound. We recommend you switch to the Technical Tab to the right for the important stuff you should know about this new model. The sound it produces is non-aged, which means quite dynamic and alive. Behaves like a new non-noiseless pickup and tends to resist crunching too easily under heavy pick attack. Highs with a lot of presence, soft-edged twangy midrange with highly prominent piano mid-tones and lovely deep bass .... and it's loud and punchy.
  • Brad Paisley has a lot of love for our Gen-1 AVn-48b, it's his favorite pickup. And now there is this even better new Gen-2 model. The sound of the Gen-2 is even more authentic early Tele, focused with rich tonal complexity and one teriffic twang factor and a lotta air, bell and presence. And, like the original Broadcaster it has a moderately aggressive attitude.
