The new V2 is an innovative design created especially for covers that don't have protruding magnets. We have also introduced the Extra bridge version; it balances better with the neck volume-wise and sounds somewhat thicker without compromising treble response or attack (there is no mud). Mustangs have a shorter scale length, so the sound will be more profound, and more throaty than the same pickup in a Strat. -

P.A.F Plus v2 A much improved PAF which works better in the neck position than conventional humbuckers and is excellent for the bridge position too if you want heaps more clarity and punchy dynamics than a regular humbucker. Featuring vastly improved Tone / definition / clarity on the low wound strings with minimized blurring from the low notes in the neck position, thanks to Kinman’s Triple Alnico Tone advantage. The neck position has well defined and clear low notes that have a hint of twang and a nice little dose of piano tones in the mids. If you want a humbucker with exceptional Zero-Hum split single coil sound please consider the Converge-3 which produces a great Fender sound in split mode. -

Expression through EXTREME Dynamics is the 3rd Dimension and this pickup has it in spades. The sound is Extreme Fender, like no Strat could ever sound like; it has that typical Fendery clang and has amazing prominent piano mid-tones in the low wound strings plus it has P90-like whack attack plus a huge warm lush and sensual bottom end and brilliant highs that have a nice sweet harmonic bloom. SurfMaster: All the important attributes of original Fender pickups, plus this Kinman model, has a little more punch and output. Louder and more dynamic with a greater presence factor than the FatMaster, this pickup has a full-bodied sound with a powerful, sharp twang and exceptional piano mid-tones and all the highs you crave. The dynamic range is so excellent you immediately relate it to Dick Dales's sound. Still, you'll get more than that with these SurfMaster pickups because these are versatile and, in capable hands, can be used for grunge, indie, punk, shoegaze and just about anything. -

The difference is that ThickMaster has a better dynamic range and aliveness. Can be used in the bridge position with a FatMaster Extra or SurfMaster Extra in the neck if a thick bridge sound is required, however, this changes the middle switch position (both-on-together) sound to a significant degree since the ThickMaster will tend to dominate the mix and produce a distinctive Cluck. Cluck is a new rage, and we are good at it.
